Village Folk Book Launch this week

The process of preparing books for publication includes a lot of quite detailed and unexciting work. So it is important to be able to celebrate the moment when we are able to complete that work and let our books out into the world. In all of that detailed work, we never forget that books are there for information, inspiration, enjoyment and to be read – by as many people as possible.
This week we send two of our books out into the world and, in the process, achieve several firsts. The most important firsts are that they are our first two Childrens’ Books and that they are part of the Village Folk series which means that there will be more to follow.
Clarissa the Clown has already had one mention in this blog. Now she is joined by Roberto who is a Robot. Whereas Clarissa has feelings to overcome, Roberto is on a journey to discover that, even as a Robot, he can have feelings.

Everyone to whom I have shown early versions of the books has been captivated by them. They are colourful and vibrant and the stories are ideal for reading aloud or for young readers to discover for themselves. Andrew Segal’s words have been ably supported by the brilliant (in all senses) illustrations by Peter Scott and Grant Jesse.
You can buy the books on our site or at Amazon for £5.99 plus postage.

These books are, I believe, destined to become classics in their own right. Share them with your children, they’ll thank you for it.
